St Monica’s has a wide variety of parish organisations and activities, engaged in the practical and spiritual life of the parish and the service of those in the community around us. Below are a list of the groups and details of who to contact for more information.
Volunteering
We always ask that all parishioners prayerfully reflect on what they can contribute to our parish. We are fortunate to have a number of dedicated volunteers, who use their energy, time, skills and talents to complete all the important jobs that are integral to the life of our parish. You can find details of some existing volunteering groups and services below.
CHildren & family
Children and their families form a big part of our Church community – we have a children’s choir which sings at the Vigil Mass one Saturday of the month. We have a group of about 20 servers from years 4 to 13 and beyond. There are also Cubs, Scouts, Brownies, and Guides in the parish. We encourage our young parishioners and their families to take part in a variety of activities and organisations that help build lasting friendships and a strong sense of community for our youngest parishioners. OTHer interests
From walking groups to recycling and environmental clubs, we encourage our parishioners to get to know each other and help build our community of service both in and out of Mass. Below is a full list of all the existing groups that may allow you to develop a new hobby and grow lasting friendships.
